Porsche expands Taycan range
Having already revealed the Taycan EV in Turbo and Turbo S guise at the recent Frankfurt Auto Show, Porsche have now added a 4S variant.
Despite being down on power to it’s Turbo stablemates, the Taycan 4S can still boast some pretty impressive performance stats of its own, delivering up to 530PS in overboost, with the optional Performance Pack battery giving up to 571PS. This means a 0-62mph time of 4.0 seconds, and a top speed of 155mph. The WLTP range is up to 252 miles from the standard Performance Battery and an impressive 287 miles claimed form the Performance Battery Plus.
Still featuring two electric motors, one for each axle, the Taycan 4S shares the immediate and consistent performance of the Turbo badged derivatives, including the two-speed transmission on the rear axle.
Styling-wise, the 4S differs only slightly by having a unique design front apron, side sills and rear diffuser finished in black and 19” Aero wheels with read brake callipers as standard. Also featuring as standard is adaptive air suspension with three-chamber technology on Porsche’s renowned electronic damper control system, PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management). Brakes are six-piston fixed callipers at the front with internally vented cast iron 360mm discs at the front, with four-position callipers clamping the 358mm discs at the rear.
The car is available for ordering from today, with prices starting from £83,367 before the Government grant, and deliveries are expected from January 2020. Also included will be 3 years access to IONITY and Porsche Charging Service giving A network of different charge point operators.
